About Scouting and Troop 185

     Honor
Boy Scout Troop 185, like all Boy Scout troops, is made up of Patrols. Boy Scouts are assigned to a patrol, generally based on their age. A patrol usually has 8 to 10 scouts. The patrol typically meets 2 or 3 times a month for activities. In addition, Troop 185 has a Troop meeting usually once a week at the Stratham Volunteer Fire Department(until Spring 2005). Most Troop meetings include troop announcements, a skit, events, games etc. Four times a year a special "Court of Honor" is held to recognize the achievements of the scouts.

The schedule for Troop meetings is published at the start of the school year and available on our Calendar page.
Each patrol has a Patrol Leader and an Assistant Patrol Leader. The "Senior Patrol" is made up of older scouts. The Patrol Leaders are responsible for coordinating patrol activities and working with the Scoutmaster and Committee to plan and hold events.
